Satellite technology is moving from the margins of telecommunications into Tennessee’s mainstream connectivity strategy.
In 2026, Tennessee approved $202 million in Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) funding for 128 projects across 74 counties. The Anderson County Emergency Management Agency is upgrading its emergency management fleet with Starlink terminals, multi-carrier LTE routing, and tri-band public safety radios.
